It is true that no broadcast of the departure of Meles have been done inside Eritrea and there is a good reason for it. Meles was the cause of 25000 dead between 1998 and 2000 (almost half of the dead martyred during the 30 years long war for independence that took away 65000 sons and daughters to Eritrean mothers and fathers. It is not part of the Eritrean culture to jump up and down in regards to somebody that dies, also if he is your worst enemy; so in this occasion better not to talk about it as it could ignite some dis-pleasant reactions within the population. On the other side, Eritrea’s Deputy Ambassador at the AU was sent to sign the book of condolences and give Eritrea’s respect to the late wife. It must be remembered that also during the 30 years long struggle for independence and particularly under Menghistu’s hand, the Eritrean liberation front have always been very caring and respectful of the POW and the dead from the other side to a level that sometimes was even incomprehensible to outsiders. I am sure that after the burial of Meles, unless some kind of good will gesture is going to come out from the new PM in Ethiopia, the Eritrean government is going to make his voice heard again in relation to the abuse that are still being forced on Eritrea by the hands of Ethiopia and it’s friends, namely the USA.
For now, it is time to just keep silent…
For now, it is time to just keep silent…
you should be suspicious when America, Europe, Imperialist countries are concerned for the lives of black people
I feel profoundly African and I belong to this continent with every fibre of my being. And to defend the dignity, liberty and independence of Africa, we grant substantial material and moral aid. In fact, Libya has agreed donations, credits and bank deposits to dozens of African countries; we have supported their economies and their currencies. It has also granted study scholarships and medical assistance, created banks, mixed companies and invested capital in their projects without making any profit
I say this to those who ‘so-called’ are wise and want to retire, there’s too much ignorance in our community for us to retire. Young men for war, old men and women for counsel. It’s the counsel of the elders that is missing in the community, and it is such that there is such a gap that the youth sometimes don’t want to hear from their elders. We’ve got a lot of work to do…The only way leaders will unite is when there is a cause bigger than our vanity, bigger than our egos and the cause is the survival of our people for we are facing extinction,

“And I, for one, will join in with anyone, I don’t care what color you are, as long as you want to change this miserable condition that exists on this earth.” - El-Hajj Malik El Shabazz (Malcolm X)
The Catholic Church is hugely responsible for the false misrepresentation of Jesus around the world. When Min. Farrakhan corrects the many that have been told, you have a problem. Focus on stopping your priest from harassing little boys. Farrakhan told the truth, Jesus was not White, he was and is Black.
